RSC is the style most people imagine when they think of a box. The outside flaps on the top and bottom of the box are the same length and fold to meet in the middle. It is a versatile design that is useful for most general purpose needs. However, if you are shipping flat items such as picture frames, we suggest using either a Full Overlap Slotted Container (FOL) or a Five Panel Folder (FPF). A Full Overlap Slotted Container, or FOL, is similar to a Regular Slotted Container (RSC), but with the outer flaps completely overlap rather than meeting in the middle. This provides extra protection for those heavy shipping items which require extra support on the bottom of the box. A Half Slotted Container (HSC) is similar to a Regular Slotted Container (RSC), but with flaps on only one side of the box, leaving one side completely open. This works very well when used with a design style tray (DST) as a top, to create a container that is easily opened and closed. It is also an excellent way to transport and display fruits and vegetables. A Design Style Tray (DST) is a corrugated box that comes in a top and bottom section. When put together, the two pieces fit over one another to close the box. This style of a corrugated box is successful when stacking multiple corrugated boxes on top of one another or when packaging large flat products that require additional packaging protection on the perimeter The One Piece Folder (OPF)is a corrugated box design typically used for flat items and/or narrow items. The flaps of the corrugated box form the sides, ends, and top of the box. The Five Panel Folder (FPF) is a corrugated box design which allows the fifth panel to be used as the closing panel. This corrugated design allows a person to place the contents of their product directly in the bottom of their corrugated box and basically wrap the corrugated box around the contents. This style of corrugated box also offers additional protection in both ends as well as one side.
